Welcome to the West Volusia Bass Anglers web site, we are a local bass
club that has just celebrated our 28th Classic.
We are a team based club, we promote the team effort. We have a 5 fish
limit.
We fish 11 tournaments per year plus a classic. We fish April through
March at multiple sites around central Florida.
We fish the St. Johns River (Crow's Bluff, Astor, Lake Monroe Park and
Mullet Lake Park), West Lake Toho, East Lake Toho, Harris Chain, and
Lake Istokpoga. The schedule is voted on at the February meeting which
is our organizational meeting.
We are a fun loving, competitive bass fishing group of anglers. I can't say
guys because we have two female members currently and are always
open to more.
We fish the Saturday after the second Tuesday each month unless it is so
stated in the schedule.
Our classic site is drawn on the day of the tournament; it is drawn from all
the sites we have fished during the season except for Lake Istokpoga, due
to travel constraints. To qualify for the classic you must have finished in
the top five or have met the other qualifications stated in the by-laws, listed
on the next two pages.
Our meetings are the Tuesday before the tournament at the Moose Lodge
in DeLand. To join our club it is required that you come to the meeting to
join unless you were a member last season. You will find a map to the
DeLand Moose Lodge on one of the following pages.
Next to this section you will notice a Sponsor section. These are our
sponsors, they donate money to the Classic tournament or other items,
they sponsor us all year long through other ways. We are always looking
for new sponsors,, you get your business card posted on the web site and
you get a tax deduction for advertising, plus you get loyal customers and
the satisfaction of sponsoring an American past-time.
Please remember to support our sponsors by shopping at their
businesses or referring them to friends and family for their services. When
you are in one of our sponsors businesses please let them know you are a
member of WVBA. Without them we would be a much poorer club.
